About Nancy Furlotti
For more than a decade, Jungian Analyst Nancy Swift Furlotti has written about and lectured on the works of Swiss psychiatrist Carl Gustav Jung. A highly regarded lecturer and author, she travels across the United States and Europe with presentations on a variety of Jungian related topics. Most recently, Nancy Furlotti traveled to St. Petersburg, Russia, where she discussed time and reality related to the Mesoamerican mythology and culture. She has presented several seminars on the Quiche Maya Creation Myth, the Popol Vuh, including a Web seminar through the Asheville Jung Center posted in November of 2012. She was also interviewed for the Huffington Post on the topic of the end of the Maya calendar, which was posted on December 19, 2012.
Additionally, Nancy Furlotti belongs to the faculty of the C.G. Jung Institute of Los Angeles, where she has in past years served as President. She also served as Vice-President of ARAS, The Archive for Research in Archetypal Symbolism, which published The Book of Symbols, an illustrated anthology of Jungian essays on symbolism. During her tenure with ARAS, Ms. Furlotti played a key role in the online publication of the organization's archives. Nancy Furlotti is also a past President of the Philemon Foundation, which published Dr. Jung's seminal Red Book. An examination of the author's personal psychological and philosophical journey, the Red Book remained unpublished for nearly 80 years before Ms. Furlotti and her associates enabled its first official printing. It has sold more than 100,000 copies to date, in many languages.
As a Jungian Analyst, Nancy Furlotti maintains a busy practice in Southern California, and in Colorado. She studied Jungian analysis at The Research and Training Center for Depth Psychology According to C.G. Jung and Marie-Louise Von Franz and earned her diploma in Analytical Psychology from the C.G. Jung Institute of Los Angeles. She holds a Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University and anticipates receipt of her doctorate from Saybrook University. Ms. Furlotti maintains active membership in numerous professional societies, including the Inter-Regional Society of Jungian Analysts and the C. G. Jung Institute of Colorado.
